Plugged In?
Shine Out.
Morning friends! God call us not to timidity, but to SHINE! We live in hope, only because it has been imparted to us through God's mercy and love. Let us continually strive to allow this hope, this peace, this love that we have been given to be seen in our lives. For we truly are a vapor. Here for a second. A millisecond in light of an eternity with Christ; so let us not think of ourselves, live for ourselves, breathe for ourselves. Our life must only be an outpouring of love to those we encounter, as his life was for us. So shine my friends. Shine, shine, shine.

Doing good, Suffering, Renewal
I've been in 1 Peter for a long time. Which to me has been a journey. 1 Peter is a book anyone could read through in half an hour, but to truly delve into it's truths I've been in it every morning for over a week and a half. Check this progression of verses out!

LAUNCH!!
Morning all!

Rejoice!
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13
Finally, my brothers, rejoice in the Lord! It is no trouble for me to write the same things to you again, and it is a safeguard for you. Philippians 3:1
Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Philippians 4:4
As this revolution begins, always remember that even though memorizing the scripture can be challenging to you, REJOICE! How amazing is it to know that if we just spend time in pure study in His word, we can hide His word in our hearts, and actually use the 'sword,' the Bible, that God has given us with the Armor of God!
Don't lose heart guys! Keep pressing on, and never cease to sing! Rejoice! Be glad!
Show God's love through your compassionate heart!
Never cease to give your all, everything you have, and just surrender it to Him!
Much love and God Bless!
-Matt

Prepare For ACTION!
How often do we sit, motionless, in our houses wondering where God is in our country? In our city? In our home? Whether in the middle of a storm of our life, or a desert of our spirituality, we often wonder exactly that. "Where is God?"

Thoughts of The Revolution on the Road
God always has a plan. Always. There are no mistakes. And that to me, is increasingly encouraging. Having left with Kaity this morning at 7:30 am, almost without a plan, I was curious to see what the day held. I had very recently learned the immensity of the "metroplex", which I had once thought was a much smaller area. Wrong. The students from Super Summer I was interested in ministering to all live on opposite ends though, so I learned quickly. ETC Team Leader Brooke Allen , whom I was planning on hanging out with informed me that she wouldn't be able to hang out... As I was already driving up there! Haha, it did work out okay though, as ETC Team Leaders Matt McNeal, Kaleb Sanders and my Super Summer daughter Katelyn Cucera were both on the NE side of Dallas. We grabbed a quick lunch at Sonic at Firewheel, and then sat down at the park for a quick study in the word! It was encouraging as we shared the good, bad, and ugly of life since leaving a spiritual dreamworld several days before. God really allowed me to minister to each person as they had need. Katelyn left the mall to run errands, while the rest of us drove to Terrell, Texas where I played a worship set with Matt McNeal. I met an awesome kid named Penguin, who I know is going to do amazing things for God in the coming days. Lastly, Kaity and I drove an hour back to the Arlington area where we met up with ETC Team Leader Chase McCaskill. I've actually been with Chase since about 10:00 or so, and it's been a blast! Just a bit ago we were dissecting 2nd Corinthians 4, and something just JUMPED off the page. (I've read 2nd Corinthians 4 over and over again, and it never ceases to amaze me... 2nd Corinthians 4 is, in fact, the extended passage that ETC TL's will commit to upon our state-wide Leadership Launch, Monday the 27th!)
ETC Roadtrip?... Oh, 2 am impulses.

When We Don't See Him
I can't tell you how many times I have seen people walk away from their faith, or get discouraged because they simply couldn't "feel" God. Don't hear me as perfect, for I am not. In fact in the roller coaster of Christianity, I have felt like the man from the "Footprints" poem that I know we're all aware of. Yet, as I continue to seek, continue to grow I know that I know that I know God is real. More than this, he is solid rock. Our strong tower. Our Abba Father. What is going on in these times when we feel at a hiatus in our connection to God? When we feel like we don't know what he is doing, or even where he is at?

Beta Run With TL Leaders: 2nd Corinthians 4
2 Corinthians 4
Treasures in Jars of Clay
1Therefore, since through God's mercy we have this ministry, we do not lose heart. 2Rather, we have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do we distort the word of God. On the contrary, by setting forth the truth plainly we commend ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. 3And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. 4The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. 5For we do not preach ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus' sake. 6For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.7But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. 8We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; 9persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. 10We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body. 11For we who are alive are always being given over to death for Jesus' sake, so that his life may be revealed in our mortal body. 12So then, death is at work in us, but life is at work in you.
13It is written: "I believed; therefore I have spoken." With that same spirit of faith we also believe and therefore speak, 14because we know that the one who raised the Lord Jesus from the dead will also raise us with Jesus and present us with you in his presence. 15All this is for your benefit, so that the grace that is reaching more and more people may cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God.
16Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. 17For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.18So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
